Tuscany

With its lyrical landscapes, world-class art and food, Tuscany is a dreamland. it has sensational natural landscapes made of gently rolling hills dipped in soft morning mist. Be in the company of golden wheat fields, silver olive groves and green vineyards marching in terraced rows on. Explore medieval hilltop villages, mountain ranges and forests – all fit to be in postcards. During the medieval and Renaissance periods, Tuscany really struck gold. It has excellent painters, sculptors and architects creating world-class masterpieces that leave your jaw dropped. You can spend hours in in churches, museums and galleries all over the region, that safeguard the art in Tuscany. It is truly unmatched. Edgy street art in Florence and countryside sculpture parks bring the art scene right up to the 21st century. Rousing landscapes, art and food are the highlights of Tuscany. It deserves a sow-paced easy trip – the one that we have planned below.

Day 1: 

Arrive in Florence or Rome and transfer to Tuscany. This day may have you on the road, but the beautiful landscape will keep you in awe.

Day 2:

Cross over the beautiful Tuscan hills to arrive at the medieval, hilltop gem of Monteriggioni! Travel back  into the Renaissance era as you stroll through the rustic streets and see unscathed ancient walls. Your next stop is Siena, the historical centre of the region with the glorious Basilica of San Domenico. A personalised tour to soak in all the historical sights, is planned for the day.

Day 3: 

This day is reserved for the Mugello Valley for Truffle Hunting. Meet your expert truffle hunter who will teach you the process and secrets and take a charming walk with the special trained truffle dogs. Post the hunt, enjoy a delicious lunch outdoors under a lovely porch overlooking an olive grove. Spend the rest of the day exploring Florence.

 

Day 4: 

In the morning relax at your resort or enjoy a winery tour in the Chianti Region. Next you can visit the medieval hilltop town of San Gimignano known for the skyline of towers and gelato. Walk around the narrow alleys, enjoy the charming stores, and soak in the breathtaking panoramas. The sun-set point we have planned for you is a secret.

Day 5:

We notch up the adventure a little but with a hot air balloon ride, visit to the Val d’ORCIA Valley and a stopover at a mysterious abbey. 

Day 6: 

We’ve kept this day for you to relax and explore the town on your own or opt for a guided tour.

Day 7:

Fly home on this day with memories of stunning Tuscany.
