The Best of Africa

Cape Town is a coming-together of cultures, cuisines and landscapes, perfect for a first timer to the country. It’s a beautiful city crowned by the magnificent Table Mountain National Park and a number of things to do before you step foot in the wild world of Kruger. We keep ample days for Cape Town and Kruger National Park to see the best of both worlds. For an introductory trip to South Africa, Kruger National Park is a great option. It’s one of the world's greatest wildlife-watching destinations with iconic safari species that everybody wants to spot – elephant, lion, leopard, cheetah, rhino, buffalo, giraffe, hippo and zebra. A supporting cast of 137 other mammals and over 500 varieties of bird bless the environs of the national park, so get ready to be amazed at every turn.

Day 1

Begin in Cape Town, one of Africa’s premier cultural destinations, at one of our favourite luxury properties. This is the start to a comprehensive private touring with one of Cape Town’s most knowledgeable guides. After you have settled, do a quick tour to some of the historical sights and handpicked restaurants to get a feel of the city.

Day 2

On this day, learn about the city’s fascinating history and architecture with a guide. Take a cable car to the top of the iconic Table Mountain for great views, local markets, boutiques, museums, and noted African art galleries. Back in the town, sample the incredible food and wine scene. Depending on your interests, enjoy other highlights, such as Bo Kaap (the Cape Malay Quarter), and the Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden.

Day 3

On this day, take a private excursion along the scenic coastal road to the Cape Peninsula and visit the Cape of Good Hope, Boulders Beach and quaint seaside towns. Come back to town for a restful evening.

Day 4

On this day you can venture to Cape Winelands for a personalized wine tasting at a premier vineyard and a visit to the charming town of Stellenbosch. Roam the high-end artisan boutiques and hand-picked restaurants. Alternatively, we can arrange a private yacht cruise, an excursion to Robben Island, a scenic helicopter flight or a day trip to Hermanus.

Day 5

There is a private transfer arranged from Cape Town to Greater Kruger NP on this day.

Land in Nelspruit and transfer to luxury safari lodge for 3 nights. You can start game-viewing right away after reaching the resort.

Day 6

Morning and afternoons are perfect for safaris while you spend the rest of the day relaxing at the resort’s pool or private deck, where chances of spotting wildlife are high as well.

Day 7

We mix up the daily game drives, with option for local community visit or a walking safari. While venturing out into the bush on foot may seem like too much exposure to prowling predators, but in reality, safaris on foot are just as safe. Guides go through extensive wilderness and safety training and are armed wherever a possible threat might lurk. It is a much more immersive and slow-paced way of taking in the jungle.

Day 8

Transfer to the airport for your flight to Johannesburg and further international departure.
